Halloween Dipped Marshmallow Pops! Is it Halloween yet? My kids have been talking about Halloween since Labor Day. I have started thinking ahead to the school parties and when they get together at friends' houses. I am going to try to keep my recipes as simple as possible, so this is the first thing I came up with.

    Halloween Dipped Marshmallow Pops

    Ingredients needed for 25 pops:

    Parchment or wax paper
25 sip stick straws (coffee stirrers) or lollipop sticks
    25 large marshmallows
½ cup jimmies or candy sprinkles
1 cup any flavor NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Morsels or melting chocolate
1 teaspoon vegetable oil or vegetable shortening
Cellophane or decorative bags with ties

    Directions:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Press straws into centers of marshmallows, as shown above. Place jimmies or sprinkles on plates (one plate for each kind).

Temper your chocolate or melt morsels in small, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl according to package directions; STIR. Morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted. Stir in oil (this will help keep the chocolate fluid). Dip marshmallows halfway into melted morsels; shake off excess.

Roll in jimmies or sprinkles. Place on lined baking sheet. Let pops sit for 30 minutes or until set. Test that they are firm by gently lifting off the parchment, as shown above.

Wrap in cellophane or decorative bags and tie closed to preserve freshness. That’s it!
