Don’t these look like half-moon cookies? My mom says that the mini-wafer size is even easier to eat and pop in your mouth, so I’m going to try those little cookies when I make these treats.
My mom’s advice is always to use really good dipping chocolate when making these treats and I agree with her. Avoid the cheap waxy chocolate from the craft store or chocolate chips. Invest in good dipping chocolate from a local candy shop or keep your eyes peeled around the holidays for quality dipping chocolate. My mom looks for Ghirardelli dipping chocolates and I’ve used Merckens candy wafers.
And I have to tell you… these little bites were sooo yummy. Everything’s better when you add a little chocolate, right?
