Chocolate Raspberry Bon-bons! In honor of National Raspberry & Cream Day, I thought I would share this recipe.

All I can say about these is “Wow! Are these rich!” If you are looking for something rich and delicious and pretty to look at on a plate, these are just thing. They are bit of work but absolutely worth it!

    Chocolate Raspberry Bonbons

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese

1 cup milk chocolate chips, melted and cooled

3/4 cup crushed vanilla wafers (about 40 wafers) We put them in re-sealable freezer bag and crushed them with a rolling pin.

    1/4 cup raspberry jam

15 ounces milk or dark chocolate, chopped

2 squares (1 ounce each) white baking chocolate

    Red food coloring

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Beat in the melted and cooled chocolate chips. Mix in the crushed vanilla wafer crumbs and the raspberry jam. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or until easy to handle.

Shape the mixture into 1 inch balls. Temper or melt the milk/dark chocolate. Dip the balls in the chocolate, place on waxed paper lined baking sheets. Refrigerate until set.

Temper chocolate or in a microwave safe bowl, melt the white chocolate and red food coloring together; stir until smooth. Transfer to a re-sealable plastic bag when it is cool enough to handle. Snip a tiny hole in the corner of the bag. Drizzle the now pink white chocolate over the candies. Store in the refrigerator. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
